What a great day to celebrate reading! Not only do we have our book fair open on campus, we also had our 4th annual book give away. The book give away was sponsored by San Diego Oasis Life Long Adventure. Not only do these volunteers host a book give away for every student in our school, they also volunteer as readers in our classrooms. A huge thank you goes out to this group as they are such an important part of our Rock Springs Community!

Last Friday, Rock Springs Elementary and dozens of our students were involved in a wonderful tree-planting event. It was a sunny morning in Escondido and our school was joined by new community partners Urban Corps of San Diego County and Tree San Diego, to plant 30 crepe myrtle trees. The trees were planted along the west side of the Rock Springs campus along Rock Springs Road. A huge thank you to EUSD's Maintenance and Operations team for coordinating and planning this event. Thank you to Mrs. Ramirez and her enthusiastic helpers as we worked together to make our school and community more beautiful!

We are proud to offer a full-day Transitional Kindergarten program, which provides a bridge between preschool and kindergarten in a vibrant, nurturing, and supportive environment. This play-based program meets the needs of our very young students at their level, and it makes them excited about coming to school. TK serves children who do not meet the age eligibility for regular Kindergarten. With TK, 4-year-olds get a gift of classroom time that will help them build a strong foundation for success in school. TK students also are eligible to participate in EUSD’s after-school enrichment programs. Save a seat for your little learner now through the New Student Registration webpage! TK is offered at all 17 elementary schools in EUSD. Students who turn 5 between September 2, 2023, and June 2, 2024, are eligible for TK for the 2023-2024 school year. https://www.eusd.org/page/tk-k-special-education-preschool-new-student-registration-for-2023-2024
